A step-by-step guide to Resume Creator

This is a step-by-step guide on how to use the resume creator in Quinncia.

1.        Go to your student dashboard page and navigate to the Resume Style Guide & Creator widget

2.        You can click on the drop-down menu to hover over and select a template that has Creator labeled on it. Then click Create Resume

3.        In the next steps, Quinn will guide you through completing your resume. You will fill out the sections step by step.

4.        Fill out key portions of your resume such as Name, Contact Information and a Professional Summary.

a)        In the skills section, type out your essential and technical skills. The Skills Widget will show you how to write your skills in a way that ATS (Applicant Tracking System) will identify it!

b)        In the Work Experience section, you will fill out details of your previous experiences and add their job descriptions. Quinn will use that to suggest technical skills. You can also add more if you wish.

c)        You can then add bullet points for your role. Quinn will have suggestions and tips throughout. Once you are done adding bullet points, you can click Add Another Work Experience to add more roles or click Next Step to proceed.

d)        Now, you can continue to add in optional sections or skip them by clicking Skip This Section.

Note: If you need to edit any previous sections, click the small edit icon next to the sections.

e) Click Preview Resume to analyse further and customize your resume in Quinncia’s in-app editor!

f)           In this next step, you will be able to preview the resume you just created. You can now proceed to Analyse and Edit your resume, and you can also save it to your device in a DOCX or PDF format.

5.  Once your resume is uploaded and analysed, you can now proceed to further edit the resume you just created in Quinncia’s in-app editor!
