How to Properly Punctuate Bullet Points

Consistency should be a top priority when creating a resume. Does yours use the same formatting, abbreviations, spacing, and punctuation throughout the entire document? If not, you need to dedicate extra time to go through your document and make it consistent.

One of the easiest ways to make your resume more consistent is to use (or omit) the same punctuation in each bullet point. Whether you end each bullet with a period or not, just pick one style and stick with it. Inconsistency can make you seem unprofessional and sloppy.

Example: Inconsistent punctuation
