Missing Employer Name Flag

Sometimes Quinn gives you a flag for missing an employer's name, even though it is listed on your resume. If this happens, likely, the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) may not recognize the employer's name.

The ATS parses the employers' legal name, so sometimes you need to include CORP., INC., LLC., etc.

Look up your employer's legal name to see what it includes. Google usually lists the full name, but you can also visit the bottom of the company's website to check:

Screenshot of a website footer. Message at the top invites students from Quinncia-enrolled schools to contact their campus career center. Navigation links include: “STUDENTS,” “SCHOOLS,” “EMPLOYERS,” “ABOUT US,” and “TERMS AND CONDITIONS.” Social media icons for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn are shown. A red-highlighted copyright notice reads: “© 2021 Quinncia Inc. All Rights Reserved.”

For example, let's say you worked at Quinncia. To resolve the flag, you would need to write Quinncia Inc. instead of just Quinncia

Try to follow this format:

Company Name                           Location

Job Title                                       Start Date - End Date
